Your Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival to Gorno-Altaisk.
Traditional 'Bread and Salt' welcoming at Gorno-Altaisk or Novosibirsk airport. Transfer to the campsite, located on the Katun river bank, next to Ust-Sema village. Welcoming dinner.

Day 2
Chuya river &Chike-Taman mountain crossing
Your first stop will be at Seminsky mountain crossing-the highest one in Gorny Altai. Here the real Altai starts right onwards. After that, you will go up Chike-Taman mountain crossing which , although not as high as Seminsky mountain-crossing, reveals the landscapes that are much more impressive. You will also see the confluence of two major rivers of the Altai mountains - Chuya and Katun, and have a tour of the ancient sanctuary of Kalbak-tash area. This day you will stay overnight in rooms of the campsite located at the Chuya river.

Day 3
Geyser lake and Kyzyl Chin mountains
On this day you will visit beautiful Geyser lake, waters of which have all shades of blue and green, then you will transfer to the snowy peaks of the North-Chuya range—one of the most breathtaking places in Altai. You will see the unique Kyzyl Chin — coloured mountains, which are rightly called Martian because of bright red, yellow and green loam, covering its sides. Then you will leave Chuyahighway and go to Ulagan. In the evening you'll see Katu-Yarik mountain crossing and enjoy its breathtaking views. This day you'll stay in wooden houses, located in Chulyshman valley, right in front of a waterfall Kara-Su. 

Day 4
Chulyshman river and Kur-Kure waterfall
In the morning you will cross Chulyshman river and go trekking to Kur-Kure waterfall After lunch, you will go to the Stone Mushrooms and stay overnight in wooden houses, located in Chulyshman valley.

Day 5
Chuya river and Pasyrykskyie barrows
Going back to Chuya river highway, you will cross Katu-Yarik mountain-crossing. On your way you will visit “Pasyrykskyie barrows” (5 century BC). Some findings from these barrows are kept in State Hermitage museum now. You will stay in rooms of the campsite, located at the Chuya river.

Day 6
On the way to Biysk. Rapids Ilgumen
On the way to the city of Biysk, enjoy fascinating views near rapids Ilgumen. Annual rafting competitions are held here. The conclusion of your tour will be in Biysk city.

Day 7
Departure from Biysk
